OREGON GREEN MOSS
We pack epiphytic bryophytes aka . . . . . . Oregon Green Moss.
Oregon Green Moss is a type of forest moss — a lush, nonvascular, succulent green plant that grows without roots in clumps and sheets across trees, rocks, and soil in temperate rainforest zones. Water is absorbed directly through its leaves and stored within its cellular tissue, giving it outstanding moisture retention properties. We evaluate the quality of our Oregon moss based on the length of the tendrils, the fluffiness of the clumps, and the overall cleanliness and lack of debris. Higher-quality moss naturally offers superior water-holding capacity, making it ideal for a wide range of uses.
Today, Oregon Green Moss is a popular choice for florists, nurseries, and exotic animal retailers. It is used for lining hanging baskets, decorative covering for soil and foam, mulching, and even soil-free growing. Retailers specializing in reptiles and amphibians trust our moss as a safe, natural terrarium lining, perfect for maintaining humidity and comfort in reptile habitats. Zoos often use our exhibit moss to enhance animal enclosures, offering both function and a beautifully natural appearance.
Our moss is available in multiple bale sizes to accommodate a wide range of needs. We offer large bales weighing approximately 25 pounds, packed 25 bales per pallet, as well as smaller retail bales weighing approximately 3.75 pounds, packed 48 bales per pallet. We can also create custom pallet configurations that include a combination of both bale sizes.
Whether you are sourcing moss for floral design, interiorscaping, retail distribution, or creative projects, Oregon Moss Inc. is proud to deliver high-quality, sustainably harvested moss from the Pacific Northwest, packaged to fit your operation.
